Why do men most often seek help for low T?

With low levels of testosterone you may find that you have decreased sex drive, loss of muscle, poor sleep, loss of hair, bad memory, poor energy levels, weight gain, depression, erectile dysfunction and irritable male syndrome.  All of these very bothersome conditions can be successfully and easily treated with testosterone replacement therapy by the ReUP Men’s Clinic, where we help you find You…Renewed!

What are the potential side effects of TRT?

We are continually monitoring your hormone and other critical lab values. Very commonly we see a rise in the red blood cell count, which may increase risk of clots. There may also be changes to your levels of cholesterol and PSA levels *(see above).

Some less common side effects may include acne, mood changes, loss of hair, shrinking of the testes, abnormal breast growth, worsened sleep apnea and decreased sperm count. Our providers are very diligent in watching your lab values and helping you maintain the You…Renewed!

Can testosterone increase size?

Testosterone is responsible for increased muscle mass. Leaner body mass helps control weight and increases energy. For men with low testosterone, studies show that treatment can decrease fat mass and increase muscle size and strength.
u

Can you treat me with testosterone if I have prostate issues?

There is no short answer to that question. We may be able to, but we may not want to either. If you have prostate cancer, testosterone could act as a fuel and increase the complications of that condition.

We generally would require a 5 year negative PSA before starting you on TRT. This is a situation that definitely needs to be discussed with a provider during a consultation, Please setup a consultation (either virtual or in clinic) with one of our providers so we can get you on the path to a better and healthier You.
